The more than 120 year old masterpiece was painted by the painter Leo Gestel in 1891. The piece of art is in the the digital art collection of Rijksmuseum, which is the largest museum for Dutch art and history from the Middle Ages to the present day. The painter, graphic artist Leo Gestel was a European artist, whose artistic style was primarily Expressionism. The Dutch artist was born in the year 1881 in Woerden, South Holland, Netherlands and died at the age of 60 in 1941 in Hilversum, North Holland, Netherlands.
