Winner of the coveted Prix de Rome in 1861, Lefebvre fulfilled his early promise both as a painter of meticulously executed portraits and nudes and as a teacher: during his long career, he earned three Salon medals, was appointed to the French Academy of Fine Arts, and attained the rank of Commander in the Legion of Honor.Catharine Lorillard Wolfe commissioned Graziella in 1878. It depicts the heroine of Alphonse de Lamartine’s popular tale of the same name, which was first published in 1849. The story revolves around the narrator’s love for the beautiful daughter of a Neapolitan fisherman. Lefebvre portrayed her mending a fishing net as she gazes over her shoulder toward the distant simmering profile of Mount Vesuvius.

Choose your preferred product material

The product dropdown list gives you the opportunity to select the material and sizeaccording to your individual preferences. You can choose your your favorite size and material among the following options:

  • Aluminium dibond print: Aluminium Dibond prints are prints on metal with a true depth. A non-reflective surface structure creates a contemporary impression. The Aluminium Dibond Print is your excellent start to art reproductions on aluminum. For our Aluminium Dibond print, we print your favorite work of art on the surface of the aluminum composite.
  • Canvas: The canvas print, not to be mistaken with a painting on a canvas, is a digital copy printed on a UV direct printing machine. Also, a printed canvas makes a lovely and comfortable appearance. The advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy to hang the Canvas print without any wall-mounts. A canvas print is suited for any type of wall.
  • Printed poster (canvas material): Our poster print is a UV printed flat canvas paper with a slightly roughened surface finish, that reminds the actual artwork. Please note, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of approximately 2-6cm around the work of art, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
  • Acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): A glossy print on acrylic glass, which is sometimes referenced as a fine art print on plexiglass, will transform your selected original work of art into beautiful décor and makes a viable alternative option to dibond and canvas fine art replicas. Your favorite artwork is being made with modern UV printing technology. With a glossy acrylic glass art print contrasts and image details become visible because of the very fine gradation of the print.
