Ville-d’Avray, a town on the outskirts of Paris where Corot’s family had owned a house and property since 1817, was among the artist's favorite motifs. This work is one of several paintings of the property's pond seen through a delicate screen of trees that he made in his later years. The silvery, cool tonality may have been influenced by Corot’s study of the contemporary medium of photography. The blurred appearance of the trees in the foreground, for example, is similar to the effect of foliage in motion as captured in nineteenth-century photographs.

The product dropdown menu gives you the possibility to choose a material and a sizeaccording to your individual preferences. We allow you to pick your favorite size and material among the following product individualization options:

  • Aluminium print (aluminium dibond): Aluminium Dibond prints are metal prints with an outstanding effect of depth - for a modern look and non-reflective surface. The Aluminium Dibond Print is the excellent start to the sophisticated world of fine art reproductions with aluminum. The white & bright parts of the artpiece shimmer with a silky gloss but without the glare. Colors are luminous, the details appear crisp.
  • Printed acrylic glass (with real glass coating): The print on acrylic glass, often labelled as a fine art print on plexiglass, changes the original work of art into brilliant décor. Beyond that, the acrylic fine art print forms a distinct alternative to dibond or canvas fine art replicas.
  • Canvas print: A canvas print, not to be confused with a canvas painting, is a digital copy applied directly on canvas material. Also, a printed canvas creates a lively and pleasing impression. Your canvas of your favorite masterpiece will let you turn your fine art print into a large size artpiece. Hanging a canvas print: The advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight. That means, it is easy to hang up your Canvas print without any wall-mounts. Therefore, a canvas print is suitable for all kinds of walls.
  • Printed poster on canvas material: Our poster print is a printed canvas with a fine finish on the surface. It is qualified for framing the art replica with a custom frame. Please bear in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the poster we add a white margin of approximately 2-6cm round about the artwork, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
