"The Circumcision" is a masterpiece painted by Parmigianino. The work of art had the size - height: 45 cm width: 33 cm | height: 17,7 in width: 13 in. Oil on panel was used by the artist as the medium of the masterpiece. Besides, the piece of art forms part of the digital art collection of Mauritshuis in The Hague, South Holland, Netherlands. We are delighted to mention that the public domain masterpiece is included with courtesy of Mauritshuis, The Hague. Also, the artwork has the following creditline: Count Edmund Bourke, Paris; acquired from his widow by King William I for the Mauritshuis, 1823. What is more, the alignment is in portrait format and has a side ratio of 1 : 1.4, which implies that the length is 29% shorter than the width. Parmigianino was a painter, whose style can be attributed mainly to Mannerism. The Italian painter was born in the year 1503 in Parma and deceased at the age of 37 in 1540.
