This portrait was probably made after the picture in the Salzburg Museum (cf. Frodl, Makart, 2013, cat. no. 362). It bears more than that the stamp of the personality of Clothilde Beer, a cousin of the painter. [Cf. Frodl, Makart, 2013, cat. no. 421]

The artwork "Clothilde Beer" was made by the painter Hans Makart. The original version has the size of 82 x 68 cm - frame dimensions (original frame): 117 × 104 × 8 cm. Oil on wood was applied by the European artist as the technique for the work of art. "Signed on the left bottom: Hans M." is the artwork's original inscription. Nowadays, the artpiece is included in the Belvedere's digital collection, which is one of Europe's most famous museums with three locations that blends the experience of architecture and art in a unique way. Furthermore, alignment is in portrait format and has an image ratio of 1 : 1.2, meaning that the length is 20% shorter than the width. Hans Makart was a male painter, whose artistic style can be classified as Historicism. The Austrian artist was born in the year 1840 in Salzburg, Salzburg, Austria and passed away at the age of 44 in the year 1884 in Vienna, Vienna state, Austria.
