English: This is the French artist Alfred Roll’s portrait of the Danish painter Peder Severin Krøyer. The portrait illustrates the close ties between the Scandinavian and French artists in Paris in the 1880s. Apparently, it also had a particular purpose. In 1888, Krøyer painted a monumental group portrait of a committee working on an exhibition of French art in Copenhagen. He himself was a member of the group and therefore inserted his own face in the painting. Krøyer used Roll’s picture as a study for his self-portrait in the group painting.

The print on aluminium is one of the most demanded entry-level products and is a truly modern way to display art reproductions, as it draws attention on the image.
  • Printed poster (canvas material): A poster is a printed cotton canvas paper with a slightly rough surface finish. Please bear in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin 2-6cm around the print, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
