Original artwork description by The Metropolitan Museum of Art website (© - The Metropolitan Museum of Art - The Metropolitan Museum of Art)

Monticelli painted hundreds of pictures with heavily textured, richly colored surfaces, but his still lifes, all of which were painted between 1879 and 1883, were most admired. Cézanne was fascinated by his work, as was Van Gogh, who wrote to his brother that "Monticelli sometimes made a bunch of flowers as an excuse for gathering together in a single panel the whole range of his richest and most perfectly balanced tones... you must go straight to Delacroix to find anything equal to his orchestration of tones."

The bright parts of the work of art shimmer with a silky gloss but without glow. Colors are luminous, fine details of the print are clear and crisp. The print on aluminium is one of the most demanded entry-level products and is an extremely stylish way to showcase art, because it puts 100% of the viewer’s focus on the replica of the artwork.
  • Printed acrylic glass (with real glass coating): An print on acrylic glass, which is sometimes described as a UV print on plexiglass, changes your original work of art into great décor. Your favorite artwork is manufactured with the help of state-of-the-art UV direct printing technology. This has the image effect of stunning, vivid colors. The major upside of a plexiglass fine art print is that sharp contrasts and also details will be recognizeable because of the granular tonal gradation in the picture. The real glass coating protects your selected fine art print against sunlight and external influences for between 4 and 6 decades.
  • The canvas print: The canvas direct print is a printed cotton canvas stretched on a wood frame. The advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight. That means, it is easy to hang your Canvas print without the support of extra wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suited for all kinds of walls.
  • Poster print on canvas material: A poster print is a printed flat canvas with a slightly roughened surface finish. It is optimally designed for putting your art print in a custom-made frame. Please bear in mind, that depending on the size of the poster we add a white margin 2-6cm around the print motif, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
