The Virgin is represented in bust, three-quarter, head tilted slightly to Jesus. It shows the right hand she holds her son on her left arm. Christ sits, legs crossed and her showing the sole of her right foot. He blessed right hand and holds in the left a volumen. The Virgin and Child little look away from the viewer; but the mother and son do not look. The Virgin is wearing a brown maphorion finely decorated red gold. The three stars observed on his forehead and his shoulders are traditionally interpreted as a sign of her virginity before, during and after the Nativity of Christ.
