Self-portrait was painted by Alexej von Jawlensky in 1912. The original version was made with the absolute size: 65,5 x 44,5 cm - frame dimensions: 77 × 58 × 4 cm. Oil on board, mounted on canvas was applied by the European artist as the technique for the artwork. Besides, this work of art belongs to the Belvedere's art collection, which is one of Europe's most famous museums with three locations that blends the experience of architecture and art in a unique way. We are pleased to reference that this public domain artwork is supplied with courtesy of © Belvedere, Vienna, inventory number: 4605. : purchase from Friedrich and Gertrud Kraissl, Vienna in 1948. Besides, the alignment of the digital reproduction is portrait with a ratio of 1 : 1.4, which means that the length is 29% shorter than the width. The painter Alexej von Jawlensky was an artist from Russia, whose artistic style can be attributed primarily to Expressionism. The Russian artist was born in 1864 in Torzhok, Russia and died at the age of 77 in 1941.
