Born free in upstate New York, the African American Duncanson established an international reputation for his Hudson River School inspired landscapes during the Civil War era. Self-taught, he launched his career in Cinncinati, Ohio, where he came to the attention of abolitionist leaders, who later sponsored his study in Europe. By 1861, Duncanson was hailed in the American press as "the best landscape painter in the West." At the height of his career, he successfully toured his paintings in England and Scotland, where he lived for a period of time. Self-exiled in Montreal during the Civil War, Duncanson also helped launch a Canadian landscape movement.

Which is your preferred material?

We offer a range of various sizes and materials for every product. Choose among the following product options now to match your preferences in size and material:

  • Canvas: A canvas direct print is a printed canvas stretched on a wood stretcher. It produces a typical effect of three dimensionality. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, which implies that it is quite simple to hang your Canvas print without the support of additional wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suitable for all types of walls.
  • Printed poster on canvas material: The poster print is a UV printed flat canvas with a granular surface texture. A print poster is used for framing your art print using a customized frame. Please keep in mind, that depending on the size of the poster print we add a white margin 2-6 cm around the print, which facilitates the framing.
  • Aluminium dibond print: These are metal prints on aluminium dibond with a true effect of depth. For our Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the artwork onto the aluminium white-primed surface. The bright & white components of the original artwork shine with a silk gloss but without any glow. The direct print on Aluminum Dibond is the most popular entry-level product and is an extremely modern way to showcase art prints, as it puts all of the viewer’s focus on the replica of the artwork.
  • Acrylic glass print: The acrylic glass print, often referenced as a print on plexiglass, will transform your favorite artwork into great home decoration. The artwork is being printed with modern UV printing technology. This creates rich, impressive colors.
