Nowadays, the piece of art is in the the Mauritshuis's art collection, which the Mauritshuis is home to the best artworks of Dutch painting of the seventeenth century. Besides this, the alignment of the digital reproduction is in portrait format with a side ratio of 1 : 1.2, which implies that the length is 20% shorter than the width. Adriaen van Ostade was a engraver, artist, painter from the Netherlands, whose art style can primarily be classified as Baroque. The Dutch painter was born in the year 1610 in Haarlem, North Holland, Netherlands and died at the age of 75 in 1685.
