Opened May 16, 1840 after the first fire, the comic opera was destroyed by another fire May 25, 1887; thereof declared during a performance of "cute". There were many casualties.

The 19th century artwork was painted by the artist Jean-Louis Talagrand in the year 1887. The 130 year-old version of the piece of art was made with the size: Height: 46,5 cm, Width: 56 cm and was painted with the technique of Oil painting.
