This over 180 year old masterpiece Capri viewed from Sorrento was created by the painter Thomas Fearnley in 1833. The 180 year-old artwork measures the size: 15,1 x 22,2 cm. Oil on canvas was used by the Norwegian painter as the medium of the artpiece. Nowadays, this artpiece forms part of the Thorvaldsens Museum's digital collection, which is a single-artist museum dedicated to the art of Danish neoclassicistic sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen. Thomas Fearnley was a painter from Norway, whose artistic style can mainly be attributed to Romanticism. The European artist lived for 40 years and was born in the year 1802 in Halden, Ostfold, Norway and died in 1842.
