The 19th century artpiece was made by the expressionist artist Leo Gestel in 1891. This artwork is in the the collection of Rijksmuseum, which is the largest museum for Dutch art and history from the Middle Ages to the present day. Leo Gestel was a male painter, graphic artist of Dutch nationality, whose style can mainly be attributed to Expressionism. The artist was born in 1881 in Woerden, South Holland, Netherlands and died at the age of 60 in 1941.
