The more than 160 year-old masterpiece On the Road was made by the realist painter Jules Dupré. The beyond 160 year-old original measures the size of 39,4 × 50,8 cm (15 1/2 × 20 in) and was painted on the medium oil on canvas. The original artpiece has the following text as inscrption: inscribed, l.l.: Jules Dupré 1856. This artwork can be viewed in in the digital art collection of Art Institute Chicago, which is one of the world’s great art museums, housing a collection that spans centuries and the globe. We are glad to mention that this public domain masterpiece is provided with courtesy of Art Institute Chicago. Creditline of the artwork: Henry Field Memorial Collection. Furthermore, alignment is in landscape format and has a side ratio of 4 : 3, meaning that the length is 33% longer than the width. The painter Jules Dupré was an artist from France, whose artistic style can be classified as Realism. The French painter was born in the year 1811 and deceased at the age of 78 in the year 1889.
