The more than 120 year-old painting "Mother and Child on a Seashore" was painted by Jozef Israëls in 1895. The beyond 120 year-old original was made with the following size: 19 x 29 1/8 in (48,4 x 74 cm) and was painted on the medium oil on panel. Inscribed lower left: Josef Israels is the painting's inscription. What is more, this work of art forms part of the Art Institute Chicago's collection. In addition to that, the alignment of the digital reproduction is landscape with a side ratio of 3 : 2, which implies that the length is 50% longer than the width. Jozef Israëls was a painter of Dutch nationality, whose style can be classified as Historicism. The European artist was born in 1824 in Groningen,Netherlands and passed away at the age of 87 in 1911.
