The more than 140 years old original measures the size: Unframed: 65 x 55,4 cm (25 9/16 x 21 13/16 in) and was produced with the techinque of oil on fabric. The original painting has the following inscription: signed lower left: Jozef Israels. This artpiece can be viewed in in the art collection of The Cleveland Museum of Art, which is one of the leading museums worldwide that builds, preserves, studies, and shares its outstanding collections of art from all periods and parts of the world, generating new scholarship and understanding, while serving as a social and intellectual hub for its community. The painter Jozef Israëls was a European artist from the Netherlands, whose style was mainly Historicism. The painter lived for a total of 87 years, born in 1824 in Groningen,Netherlands and passed away in 1911.
