Description of the over 180 year-old artpiece

The modern art painting titled Emperor Ferdinand I of Austria was created by the biedermeier artist Friedrich von Amerling in 1839. The version of the artwork has the dimensions of 51 x 41,3 cm - frame dimensions: 63 x 53 x 4 cm and was painted with the techinque of oil on canvas. The original artwork was inscribed with the information: "signed and dated lower right: 1839". Nowadays, this work of art forms part of the collection of Belvedere in Vienna, Austria. The modern art public domain artwork is being included with courtesy of © Belvedere, Vienna, inventory number: 2681. : transfer from the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna in 1927. What is more, the alignment is in portrait format and has a side ratio of 1 : 1.2, which implies that the length is 20% shorter than the width. Friedrich von Amerling was a painter of Austrian nationality, whose style can primarily be classified as Biedermeier. The painter was born in 1803 in Vienna, Vienna state, Austria and passed away at the age of 84 in the year 1887.
