Portrait of an Officer was made by Jan Anthonisz van Ravesteyn in 1612. The 400 year old painting had the following size height: 114,5 cm width: 97,5 cm | height: 45,1 in width: 38,4 in and was painted on the medium oil on canvas. The artpiece has the following text as inscrption: dated: An: 1612bears inscription: 23.. The artwork belongs to the Mauritshuis's digital art collection. This classic art public domain masterpiece is included with courtesy of Mauritshuis, The Hague. : Honselaarsdijk Palace, Naaldwijk, in or before 1694; Nationale Konst-Gallery, The Hague, 1804-1805; Nationaal Kabinet (Royal Museum), ‘Besoigne-Kamer’ (the Business Affairs Room) and Picture Gallery of Prince William V, The Hague, 1805-1821; transferred, 1822; on long-term loan to the National Military Museum, Soest, since 2017.
