This over 360 year-old masterpiece "Mother Combing Her Child's Hair, known asHunting for Lice" was made by the baroque master Gerard ter Borch in 1653. The version of the masterpiece measures the size: height: 33,2 cm width: 28,7 cm | height: 13,1 in width: 11,3 in. Oil on panel was used by the painter as the medium of the artwork. "Signed: GTB" was the artpiece's original inscription. The piece of art is in the the art collection of Mauritshuis, which the Mauritshuis is home to the best artworks of Dutch painting of the seventeenth century. Besides, the alignment of the digital reproduction is in portrait format with a ratio of 1 : 1.2, meaning that the length is 20% shorter than the width. The painter Gerard ter Borch was an artist, whose art style can mainly be classified as Baroque. The artist lived for 64 years and was born in the year 1617 and died in the year 1681.
