This painting was once attributed to Giovanni Battista Tiepolo, but was instead painted by his talented son Domenico, probably when both father and son were working together on the decoration of the Residenz at Würzburg.

The painter, printmaker Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo was an artist, whose artistic style can primarily be assigned to Rococo. The Rococo artist was born in 1727 in Venice, Venezia province, Veneto, Italy and passed away at the age of 77 in the year 1804.
