The more than 140 year-old artwork Chestnuts in South Tyrol was painted by the realist painter Gottfried Seelos in 1874. The artwork measures the size: 134 x 105 cm - frame: 152,5 × 123 × 6,5 cm and was painted with the technique of oil on canvas. The original masterpiece has the following text as inscrption: "signed and dated lower left: G. Seelos 874". It is in the the Belvedere's digital art collection, which is one of Europe's most famous museums with three locations that blends the experience of architecture and art in a unique way. The artwork, which is part of the public domain is supplied with courtesy of © Belvedere, Vienna, inventory number: 3740. The creditline of the artpiece is: transfer from the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna. - 1939 inventory in 1921. Furthermore, alignment is in portrait format and has a ratio of 3 : 4, meaning that the length is 25% shorter than the width. Gottfried Seelos was a painter, whose style was primarily Realism. The European artist lived for a total of 71 years and was born in the year 1829 in Bolzano, Bolzano province, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy and died in 1900.
