Moreover, the artpiece has the following creditline: théodore exchange with art dealer Fischer, Lucerne in 1939. The alignment of the digital reproduction is in landscape format and has a ratio of 3 : 2, which implies that the length is 50% longer than the width. Caspar David Friedrich was a male painter, sculptor from Germany, whose artistic style can be classified as Romanticism. The Romanticist artist lived for a total of 66 years and was born in 1774 in Greifswald, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany and deceased in the year 1840.
