Please note, that depending on the size of the poster we add a white margin between 2-6cm around the print to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.

Important information: We try in order to depict the products as accurately as possible and to illustrate them visually in our shop. Nonetheless, the colors of the print materials, as well as the printing can differ somehwat from the representation on your device's screen. Depending on your screen settings and the nature of the surface, not all colors will be printed one hundret percent realistically. In view of the fact that the are printed and processed by hand, there might as well be minor variations in the size and exact position of the motif.

Frans Hals painted a large number of superb likenesses of members of Haarlem’s upper class: he clearly knew how to satisfy the demands of his eminent patrons. Maritge Vooght, wife of the mayor Pieter Olycan, is here portrayed in a traditional pose, proudly sitting upright and looking straight out at the viewer. Hals noted her age, 62, at left. Her coat of arms was added later by a different hand.

The over 380 year-old painting Portrait of Maritge Claesdr Vooght was created by the baroque master Frans Hals. Furthermore, this work of art belongs to the digital collection of Rijksmuseum, which is the largest museum for Dutch art and history from the Middle Ages to the present day. The painter Frans Hals was an artist from the Netherlands, whose artistic style can primarily be attributed to Baroque. The artist was born in the year 1582 in Antwerp, Antwerpen province, Flanders, Belgium and passed away at the age of 84 in 1666 in Haarlem, North Holland, Netherlands.
