The portrait of two aldermen based in 1702, is a fragment of collective portrait of the Office of the City which included the provost Boucher d'Orsay, the four aldermen Santeul, Guillebon, Boutet and Desnotz, the Public Prosecutor, the Registrar and recipient, accompanied by Justice and Abundance. In the background included a tapestry depicting the arrival of the Duke of Anjou to the Spanish crown with allegories appropriate to the subject.

This more than 310 years old artpiece was made by the baroque master Nicolas de Largillierre in 1702. The original had the size: Height: 119,5 cm, Width: 152,5 cm. Besides, this artpiece belongs to the digital collection of Musée Carnavalet Paris, which is a museum dedicated to the history of the city Paris. Furthermore, alignment is landscape and has a side ratio of 1.2 : 1, meaning that the length is 20% longer than the width. The painter Nicolas de Largillierre was an artist from France, whose style can be classified as Baroque. The Baroque painter was born in the year 1656 and died at the age of 90 in 1746.
