Details of the art product

In 1768 Louis-Jean-François Lagrenée painted this masterpiece Bacchus and Ariadne. The more than 250 year-old original had the following size: Height: 25 cm (9,8 ″); Width: 35 cm (13,7 ″) Framed: Height: 39 cm (15,3 ″); Width: 49 cm (19,2 ″); Depth: 5 cm (1,9 ″). Oil was used by the painter as the medium of the artpiece. The artpiece belongs to the digital collection of Nationalmuseum Stockholm. Moreover, alignment of the digital reproduction is landscape and has a ratio of 1.4 : 1, meaning that the length is 40% longer than the width. Louis-Jean-François Lagrenée was a painter, whose art style was mainly Rococo. The French artist was born in 1725 in Paris and died at the age of 80 in the year 1805 in Paris.
