This modern art masterpiece was made by Leo Gestel. This artpiece forms part of the Rijksmuseum's digital art collection, which is the largest museum for Dutch art and history from the Middle Ages to the present day. Furthermore, alignment of the digital reproduction is landscape with a ratio of 4 : 3, which implies that the length is 33% longer than the width. The painter, graphic artist Leo Gestel was an artist, whose artistic style was primarily Expressionism. The painter was born in 1881 in Woerden, South Holland, Netherlands and deceased at the age of 60 in the year 1941.
