Jan van Scorel was a architect, painter of Dutch nationality, whose style can be attributed primarily to Northern Renaissance. The European painter was born in the year 1495 in Schoorl, North Holland, Netherlands and died at the age of 67 in the year 1562.

Everything here exudes Classical antiquity, from the ancient fountain statues to the Classical architecture of the palace. The biblical story is subordinate to the vast panorama. Bathsheba sits bathing at lower left and is being spied on by King David, the small figure on the balcony at upper right. Even from that distance, he is seduced by Bathsheba’s beauty.

Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, which means that it is quite simple to hang up your Canvas print without additional wall-mounts. That is why, a canvas print is suited for any kind of wall in your home.
• Poster (canvas material): A poster print is a UV printed cotton canvas with a slightly rough surface texture. It is optimally suited for placing your fine art print using a custom-made frame. Please bear in mind, that depending on the size of the poster we add a white margin between 2-6cm round about the painting, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
