Maris’s city views are not topographically accurate, which is why they were given neutral titles. He was interested above all in composition and atmosphere. The painter himself said: ‘If I feel it is necessary to interrupt the long, straight roof lines, I simply add a domed roof, especially where the sky or cloud formation calls for such support. Why should I not be allowed to build my own cities?’

Select your material

We offer a range of various sizes and materials for every product. We allow you to pick your favorite size and material among the following product individualization options:

  • Poster (canvas material): Our poster print is a UV printed flat canvas with a nice texture on the surface. Please bear in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of approximately 2-6 cm around the artwork in order to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
  • The canvas print: The canvas print, which should not be mistaken with a real canvas painting, is a digital replica applied on a canvas. Canvas Prints have the advantage of being low in weight, which implies that it is easy to hang up your Canvas print without additional wall-mounts. A canvas print is suitable for all types of walls.
  • Metal (aluminium dibond print): These are metal prints on aluminium dibond material with an outstanding depth effect. The Aluminium Dibond Print is the best introduction to fine replicas with aluminum. For the Direct Aluminium Dibond print, we print your artpiece onto the surface of the white-primed aluminum. The white and bright components of the original artpiece shimmer with a silky gloss, however without any glare. The direct print on aluminium is the most popular entry-level product and is a truly sophisticated way to display fine art prints, because it puts all of the viewer’s focus on the whole artwork.
  • Acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): The acrylic glass print, often described as a plexiglass print, transforms your favorite original into brilliant décor. The work of art is custom-made with the help of modern UV direct print technology. Our acrylic glass protects your selected fine art print against light and heat for many more years.
