The Reader is a piece of art painted by the male French artist Édouard Manet in 1861. The 150 year old work of art was painted with the size: 39 1/4 x 32 in (99,7 x 81,3 cm) framed: 49 3/4 x 41 7/8 x 4 1/16 in (126,4 x 106,4 x 10,3 cm). Oil on canvas was applied by the French artist as the medium of the artwork. Nowadays, this work of art is in the the art collection of Saint Louis Art Museum. The modern art artpiece, which is in the public domain is included with courtesy of Saint Louis Art Museum, Missouri, Museum Purchase. In addition, the artpiece has the creditline: Museum Purchase. Besides this, the alignment is in portrait format and has a ratio of 1 : 1.2, which means that the length is 20% shorter than the width. Édouard Manet was a painter, whose art style can be classified as Realism. The Realist painter was born in 1832 and deceased at the age of 51 in the year 1883 in 8th arrondissement of Paris.
