General information by the museum's website (© - by Rijksmuseum - www.rijksmuseum.nl)

When Adriaen van Ostade died, Cornelis Dusart inherited the studio’s contents from his master. This included drawings by Adriaen’s brother, Isaac. Dusart made this landscape after one of Isaac’s drawings. Dusart’s copy is less detailed and a little dull compared to the original. Whether Dusart drew these copies purely to practise or perhaps to pass them off as genuine Van Ostades is no longer known.

Select your material variant

In the product dropdown menu you can pick a material and a sizeaccording to your individual preferences. Hence, we allow you to choose among the following options:

  • The poster print (canvas material): The Artprinta poster print is a printed cotton canvas paper with a fine surface texture. Please bear in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of around 2-6 cm around the painting, which facilitates the framing with a custom frame.
  • Print on acrylic glass (with real glass coating): The acrylic glass print, which is sometimes denoted as a plexiglass print, will change an artwork into marvellous décor. Beyond that, it forms a good alternative option to aluminium or canvas fine art prints. The artwork will be custom-made thanks to state-of-the-art UV direct printing machines. Our real glass coating protects your custom art print against sunlight and external influences for between 40-60 years.
  • Aluminium dibond (metal print): An Aluminium Dibond print is a print material with an outstanding effect of depth - for a modern impression and a non-reflective surface structure. The bright & white parts of the work of art shimmer with a silk gloss, however without the glare. The colors are luminous and bright, details of the print are clear and crisp.
  • Canvas print: The printed canvas, not to be mistaken with a real canvas painting, is a digital replica printed from a UV direct printer. It generates the exclusive impression of three dimensionality. Your canvas of your favorite artwork will allow you to transform your individual fine art print into a large artwork as you know from art galleries. The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight. That means, it is quite simple to hang your Canvas print without the support of additional wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suited for all kinds of walls.
