This over 380 year old masterpiece "Peasants Making Merry" was created by the baroque painter Adriaen van Ostade in 1640. The painting had the size: height: 47 cm width: 63,6 cm | height: 18,5 in width: 25 in. Oil on panel was used by the Dutch artist as the technique for the masterpiece. Signed and dated: Av Ostade 163[.] is the painting's original inscription. This work of art can be viewed in in the Mauritshuis's digital art collection. Further, the alignment is in landscape format and has a ratio of 1.4 : 1, which means that the length is 40% longer than the width. Adriaen van Ostade was a male engraver, artist, painter from the Netherlands, whose style can be attributed primarily to Baroque. The artist was born in 1610 in Haarlem, North Holland, Netherlands and died at the age of 75 in the year 1685 in Haarlem, North Holland, Netherlands.
