Materials our customers can pick

In the dropdown lists right next to the product you can choose your favorite material and size. Thus, we allow you to choose among the following options:

  • Aluminium dibond print: This is a metal print manufactured on aluminium dibond with a true depth effect. The Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is your excellent introduction to art replicas on aluminum. The white & bright sections of the artpiece shimmer with a silky gloss, however without any glare. The colors of the print are luminous and bright in the highest definition, the fine details appear crisp and clear, and you can literally perceive a matte appearance. The direct UV print on Aluminum Dibond is the most popular entry-level product and is an extremely sophisticated way to display artworks, because it draws attention on the artwork.
  • Poster (canvas material): A poster print is a printed flat canvas with a granular finish on the surface, that reminds the actual work of art. Please note, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of something between 2-6cm around the print motif to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
  • The acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): The acrylic glass print, which is sometimes denoted as a print on plexiglass, changes an original into brilliant home decoration. Your own version of the work of art will be manufactured thanks to the help of modern UV print machines.
  • The canvas print: A printed canvas, not to be mistaken with a real painting on a canvas, is an image applied on a cotton canvas. Hanging a canvas print: The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight. This means, it is quite simple to hang the Canvas print without additional wall-mounts. A canvas print is suited for any type of wall.

Legal disclaimer: We try whatever we can to describe the art products as closely as possible and to display them visually in our shop. Still, the pigments of the print materials, as well as the imprint can diverge to a certain extent from the representation on your device's screen. Depending on the screen settings and the nature of the surface, not all colors will be printed 100% realistically. Bearing in mind that the art prints are printed and processed manually, there might also be slight differences in the motif's exact position and the size.

Original information about the work of art from the museum's website (© Copyright - by Statens Museum for Kunst (National Gallery of Denmark) - www.smk.dk)

A group of Danish artists are gathered in a room in Rome. Not, however, to celebrate as was their wont when meeting each other during their sojourns abroad.

A discussion of art The objective of their assembly is far more serious: They are discussing art. Speaking from the floor, the architect Gottlieb Bindesbøll (1800-1856) relates the experiences of his recent travels in Greece, a country that was unfamiliar territory to most Europeans at the time due to the many years of Turkish occupation. The other artists listen with varying degrees of interest and attention.

Inspired by contemporary reality Constantin Hansen was very ambitious when painting this picture. He let himself be inspired by Renaissance depictions of artists, transforming them to suit the ideals of his own era. Through the doors we see the greatest source of inspiration for the artists of the time: contemporary reality. Constantin Hansen prepared the painting carefully, painting studies of each participant, and he had his fellow artist Albert Küchler (1803-1886) paint a study of himself.

The artists in the painting From the left the persons depicted are: the artist himself, Bindesbøll, Martinus Rørbye (1803-1848), Wilhelm Marstrand (1810-1873), Küchler, Ditlev Blunck (1798-1853), and Jørgen Sonne (1801-1890). With its serious atmosphere the painting stands out among the pictures of carefree Italian living that Danish audiences saw so many of at the time.
