Part of a series of seven oval portraits of Cornelis Samuelsz Esch, his wife Josina Jansdr de Carpentier, their three daughters and two sons (SK-A-1747 A / G).

In 1632 the artist Unknown made this classic art painting. Furthermore, the work of art forms part of the Rijksmuseum's art collection, which is the largest museum for Dutch art and history from the Middle Ages to the present day.
