The Flood. In a landscape ravaged by floods trying a large crowd of people to cling to the ark or to cope with boats and rafts. On the roof of the ark are birds. In the distance is a town at the foot of a great mountain. At the top of the air four wind heads. The idea goes back to several 15th-century Italian prints.
