The Fortune Teller was by Jan Steen in 1654. The original version measures the size: height: 73,5 cm width: 59,7 cm | height: 28,9 in width: 23,5 in. Oil on canvas was used by the European painter as the medium of the artwork. The original artwork's inscription is - "signed: J. Steen". It is included in the Mauritshuis's digital collection, which the Mauritshuis is home to the best artworks of Dutch painting of the seventeenth century. Further, the alignment is in portrait format and has a ratio of 1 : 1.2, meaning that the length is 20% shorter than the width. Jan Steen was a male painter from the Netherlands, whose artistic style can be attributed mainly to Baroque. The European painter was born in the year 1626 in Alkmaar, North Holland, Netherlands and passed away at the age of 53 in the year 1679.
