This more than 370 year-old piece of art was painted by the painter Gerrit van Honthorst in 1647. The original has the following size - height: 116,4 cm width: 92,3 cm | height: 45,8 in width: 36,3 in and was painted with the technique of oil on canvas. This work of art is in the the digital collection of Mauritshuis, which the Mauritshuis is home to the best artworks of Dutch painting of the seventeenth century. Furthermore, alignment is in portrait format with a ratio of 1 : 1.2, meaning that the length is 20% shorter than the width. Gerrit van Honthorst was a male painter, whose style was mainly Baroque. The European artist lived for 64 years, born in 1592 in Utrecht, Utrecht province, Netherlands and passed away in 1656.
