Supplemental information from the museum (© - by Rijksmuseum - Rijksmuseum)

Van den Eeckhout was a pupil of Rembrandt from 1635 to 1641. He continued drawing in his master’s style for a long time. He also made a fascinating group of figure studies in brush and wash, the finest of which is this loosely portrayed youth. Such freely drawn studies were undoubtedly the kind of work he preferred making, for at the time, artists likened working for publishers to slave labour.

We offer a range of various sizes and materials for every product. The following sizes and materials are the options we offer you for individualization:

  • Print on acrylic glass (with real glass coating): An print on acrylic glass, which is often described as a print on plexiglass, makes the original into décor. The artwork is made with the help of modern UV print technology. The image effect of this are deep, vivid colors. The great advantage of an acrylic glass print is that sharp contrasts and painting details will be exposed because of the very fine tonal gradation in the print.
  • Aluminium print (aluminium dibond): An Aluminium Dibond print is a print with an outstanding depth effect. The Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is the best start to art reproductions on aluminum. For your Direct Aluminium Dibond print, we print your work of art right onto the surface of the white-primed aluminum. The UV print on Aluminum Dibond is the most popular entry-level product and is an extremely stylish way to showcase art, since it draws focus on the image.
  • Poster print (canvas material): Our poster print is a UV printed canvas paper with a slightly rough texture on the surface. It is optimally suited for framing your art copy with the help of a personal frame. Please note, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of approximately 2-6cm around the painting in order to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
  • The canvas print: A canvas print, which shall not be confused with an artwork painted on a canvas, is a digital image printed on a UV direct printer. Besides, canvas print generates a soft and enjoyable effect. A printed canvas of your favorite artpiece will provide you with the opportunity to transform your very own into a large artpiece as you know from galleries. Hanging your canvas print: The advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy to hang the Canvas print without the help of extra wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suited for all types of walls.
