This piece of art Achilles Discovered among the Daughters of Lycomedes was created by the Dutch painter Gerard de Lairesse in 1680. Gerard de Lairesse was a male engraver, painter, art historian, decorator, whose artistic style can be attributed mainly to Baroque. The painter was born in 1641 in Liege, Liege province, Wallonia, Belgium and died at the age of 70 in the year 1711.
