In 1689 Caspar Netscher created the piece of art with the title Portrait or Michiel ten Hove (1640-1689). The creditline of the artpiece is: Probably Michiel ten Hove and heirs, until 1907; bequest of Jonkvrouw Maria Johanna Singendonck, The Hague, 1907. In addition to this, the alignment of the digital reproduction is in portrait format and has a side ratio of 1 : 1.2, meaning that the length is 20% shorter than the width. Caspar Netscher was a painter, whose style can primarily be attributed to Baroque. The artist lived for 45 years - born in 1639 and died in the year 1684 in Hague, The, South Holland, Netherlands.
