This crowded and colorful panel displays the story of Christ's Crucifixion along with episodes of damnation and salvation. At the left, Christ carries the cross and Veronica hands him her veil. In the center, Christ's broken body hangs on the cross between the two thieves. At the base of the cross, the Virgin Mary swoons as Saint John the Evangelist and Mary Magdalene try to assist her. Next to them, greedy soldiers throw dice to determine who will get Christ's robes. At the top right, a voracious monster devours souls, while other souls boil to death in the fiery caldron. Below, Christ descends into Limbo to rescue Adam and Eve.

This complex narrative was once the central panel of a portable, three-part altarpiece devoted to Christ's Passion.

Available product materials

For every fine art print we offer a range of different sizes & materials. You can choose among the following product customization options:

  • Canvas print: The printed canvas, not to be confused with a real canvas painting, is a digital replica printed onto cotton canvas material. Further, a printed canvas creates a nice and comfy feeling. A canvas print has the advantage of being low in weight, which implies that it is quite simple to hang your Canvas print without the support of any wall-mounts. Therefore, a canvas print is suitable for any type of wall.
  • Acrylic glass print: A glossy acrylic glass print, which is sometimes referred to as a print on plexiglass, will convert an original into stunning décor and makes a distinct alternative to canvas or aluminium dibond art prints. Your favorite artwork is manufactured with modern UV direct printing machines.
  • Printed poster on canvas material: The Artprinta poster is a UV printed flat canvas paper with a slightly rough finish on the surface, that resembles the actual work of art. It is best designed for putting the art replica in a customized frame. Please note, that depending on the absolute size of the poster print we add a white margin between 2 - 6cm round about the artwork in order to facilitate the framing.
  • Aluminium dibond print (metal): An Aluminium Dibond print is a print material with a true depth, which creates a fashionable impression with a surface , which is not reflective. Colors are luminous and bright in the highest definition, fine details appear crisp and clear, and you can literally perceive a matte appearance of the surface.
