Girl with a Pearl Earring is a piece of art by the male artist Johannes Vermeer in 1665. The more than 350 year-old original measures the size: height: 44,5 cm width: 39 cm | height: 17,5 in width: 15,4 in. Oil on canvas was used by the painter as the medium of the piece of art. The original artwork's inscription is: signed: IVMeer. Today, this artwork belongs to the art collection of Mauritshuis, which the Mauritshuis is home to the best artworks of Dutch painting of the seventeenth century. Further, the alignment of the digital reproduction is portrait and has an aspect ratio of 1 : 1.2, which means that the length is 20% shorter than the width. Johannes Vermeer was a male painter, art collector from the Netherlands, whose art style can primarily be assigned to Baroque. The artist was born in 1632 and deceased at the age of 43 in 1675.
