This 17th century painting named "Roses in a Glass Vase" was made by Jacob van Hulsdonck in 1645. The 370 year-old version of the masterpiece measures the size: height: 35 cm width: 28,4 cm | height: 13,8 in width: 11,2 in. Oil on copper on panel was applied by the Dutch painter as the technique for the piece of art. Signed: IVHVLSDONCK.FE. is the painting's original inscription. It is included in the collection of Mauritshuis. This public domain work of art is supplied with courtesy of Mauritshuis, The Hague. Moreover, the work of art has the creditline: Private collection, France; private collection, England; purchased by the Friends of the Mauritshuis Foundation, 2016; on long-term loan from the Friends of the Mauritshuis Foundation, since 2016. In addition to that, the alignment is in portrait format and has a side ratio of 1 : 1.2, meaning that the length is 20% shorter than the width. Jacob van Hulsdonck was a male painter of Dutch nationality, whose artistic style was primarily Baroque. The artist was born in 1582 in Antwerp, Antwerpen province, Flanders, Belgium and died at the age of 65 in the year 1647.
