"Blossoming chestnut" was by the female Austrian painter Emilie Mediz-Pelikan. The 120 years old version of the piece of art was painted with the size: 132 x 184 cm - frame: 142 × 195 × 5 cm. Oil on canvas was applied by the artist as the medium of the piece of art. The original artwork has the following text as inscrption: signed lower right: E. Pelikan.. Emilie Mediz-Pelikan was a female painter from Austria, whose artistic style was mainly Impressionism. The artist was born in the year 1861 in Vocklabruck, Oberosterreich, Austria and died at the age of 47 in 1908 in Dresden, Saxony, Germany.
