In 1812 the male French painter Jean Louis André Théodore Géricault made the masterpiece. The more than 200 year-old original was made with the absolute size: 10 3/8 × 15 1/2 in (26,4 × 39,5 cm). Oil on canvas was applied by the French artist as the medium of the piece of art. Besides, this artwork is in the the art collection of Art Institute Chicago, which is one of the world’s great art museums, housing a collection that spans centuries and the globe. We are glad to state that this artwork, which belongs to the public domain is provided with courtesy of Art Institute Chicago. Creditline of the artwork: Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Larned Coburn Memorial Collection. Besides, the alignment is in landscape format and has a side ratio of 3 : 2, which implies that the length is 50% longer than the width.
