In 1882 Fernand Lungren traveled to Paris, where he briefly attended classes at the Académie Julian before abandoning formal training in favor of direct observation of the city and its people. Here, a fashionably dressed woman sits alone and alert. Her presence is a sign of modern Paris’s changing social environment, in which café culture offered women new opportunities to participate in public leisure activities. Although Lungren employed a dense, hard-edged style, his interest in modern life and the effects of light (here both gas and electric lighting) was nevertheless indebted to French Impressionism.

Pick your material variant

In the dropdown selection right next to the article you can pick a material and a size of your choice. Choose among the following product options now to match your preferences in size and material:

  • Aluminium dibond print: This is a metal print manufactured on aluminium dibond material with a true depth. The Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is your excellent start to fine art reproductions on aluminum. For the Aluminium Dibond option, we print your chosen work of art on the surface of the white-primed aluminum material. The white and bright parts of the original artpiece shine with a silky gloss, however without the glare. The direct print on Aluminum Dibond is one of the most demanded entry-level products and is a truly contemporary way to display art prints, since it puts the viewer’s attention on the artwork.
  • The canvas print: The canvas direct print is a printed canvas mounted on a wood frame. The printed canvas produces a nice, warm look. A canvas of your favorite artwork will let you turn your art print into a large size collection piece like you know from art galleries. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, which implies that it is easy to hang up the Canvas print without additional wall-mounts. Therefore, a canvas print is suited for any kind of wall.
  • Printed acrylic glass (with real glass coating): An print on acrylic glass, often named a print on plexiglass, will transform the original work of art into magnificient home décor and makes a viable alternative option to canvas and dibond prints. The great benefit of a plexiglass fine art copy is that contrasts plus minor painting details will be more identifiable thanks to the delicate gradation of the picture.
  • Poster (canvas material): The poster print is a UV printed canvas paper with a fine surface finish. The printed poster is perfectly qualified for putting your art copy with the help of a custom-made frame. Please keep in mind, that depending on the size of the poster we add a white margin between 2-6cm round about the print motif, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
