For every fine art print we offer different sizes and materials. We allow yout to choose among the following variants:

• Canvas: A canvas print, which should not be mistaken with a painting on a canvas, is a digital copy applied on a canvas fabric. In addition to that, a printed canvas produces a cosy, appealing impression. Hanging your canvas print: A canvas print has the advantage of being relatively low in weight. That means, it is easy to hang your Canvas print without extra wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suitable for all kinds of walls.
• Poster print (canvas material): Our poster print is a printed sheet of canvas paper with a slight structure on the surface. Please keep in mind, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of around 2 - 6cm round about the print motif, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
• Aluminium dibond print: An Aluminium Dibond print is a print material with an impressive depth. The non-reflective surface creates a contemporary impression. The bright parts of the original artpiece shine with a silky gloss but without any glow. The colors are luminous, the details are very clear. The direct UV print on Aluminum Dibond is one of the most popular entry-level products and is an extremely sophisticated way to showcase art reproductions, since it puts the viewer’s focus on the replica of the artwork.
• Printed acrylic glass: An acrylic glass print, which is sometimes described as a an art print on plexiglass, will turn your favorite artwork into lovely décor. In addition to that, it is a good alternative option to canvas and dibond fine art prints. The major benefit of an acrylic glass fine art print is that sharp contrasts as well as smaller image details become recognizeable thanks to the granular tonal gradation in the print. Our plexiglass with real glass coating protects your selected art print against light and heat for many years.

Important legal note: We try in order to describe the art products in as much detail as it is possible and to exhibit them visually in our shop. However, the colors of the printing material and the printing may vary somehwat from the presentation on the device's screen. Depending on the screen settings and the quality of the surface, colors can unfortunately not be printed as exactly as the digital version. Because the art prints are processed and printed by hand, there may also be minor deviations in the motif's exact position and the size.

As a boy, Théodore Géricault loved drawing horses and would sit in the stables watching and drawing. In 1817, he traveled to Rome where he witnessed the annual Carnival horse race and subsequently made numerous studies of this spectacle. This study marks the moment just before the race begins, when the terrified riderless horses begin their run down the Corso in Rome.

A groom tries to contain a rearing horse in the center, while other men all around push and pull the wild animals, goading them into a frenzied stampede. Géricault used virtually monochromatic colors applied in thick swirls to animate and suggest extreme physical strength. The dramatic use of light and shadow adds energy to the relieflike scene. Géricault mythologized the event: the muscular nude in the center recalls athletes of ancient Greece, and the thrusting horses bring to mind the Parthenon frieze designed by Phidias. Géricault intended to use this study for a grand painting to submit to the Salon, but he had to abandon that plan when he was called back to France on short notice.
