Order the item material you will hang up on your walls

We offer a range of different materials and sizes for every product. You can choose your your favorite size and material among the following options:

  • Poster (canvas material): Our poster print is a printed canvas with a granular surface structure. Please bear in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the poster we add a white margin of approximately 2 - 6cm around the print motif, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
  • The acrylic glass print: A glossy acrylic glass print, which is sometimes named as a UV print on plexiglass, will transform the original artwork into marvellous décor and offers a viable alternative to dibond and canvas prints. The artwork will be manufactured with state-of-the-art UV direct printing technology. Our acrylic glass protects your selected art print against light and heat for many decades.
  • Metal print (aluminium dibond): These are metal prints on aluminium dibond with an outstanding depth effect. For the Aluminium Dibond print, we print the artwork on the aluminium composite surface. The bright & white sections of the original artpiece shimmer with a silky gloss but without glare. The colors are luminous and bright, details of the print are very clear, and you can truly notice the matte appearance.
  • The canvas print: A printed canvas, which shall not be mistaken with a painting on a canvas, is a digital image printed on a UV direct printer. The advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is quite simple to hang the Canvas print without extra wall-mounts. Therefore, canvas prints are suited for any kind of wall.

Disclaimer: We try whatever we can to depict the art products with as many details as it is possible and to display them visually on the respective product detail pages. Still, the tone of the print products and the print result may diverge somehwat from the image on your device's screen. Depending on the screen settings and the condition of the surface, color pigments can unfortunately not be printed as realistically as the digital version depicted here. Considering that all art prints are printed and processed manually, there may as well be minor variations in the motif's size and exact position.

Additional description by The Metropolitan Museum of Art (© - by The Metropolitan Museum of Art - The Metropolitan Museum of Art)

Like many works by Peto, this canvas bears the false signature of his better-known contemporary William Michael Harnett. In 1886 Harnett had painted a successful trompe-l’oeil (“deceive the eye”) picture called "The Old Violin" (National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.), which was reproduced in a chromolithograph the following year. Peto may have known the original or the print. Although he borrowed Harnett’s composition, he made something quite different of it. By flattening forms and disregarding modeling, he created a decorative pattern with a textural effect that is evocative rather than purely illusionistic.
