The piece of art was painted by Frans Hals. The 390 years old masterpiece has the following size: height: 124,8 cm width: 97,5 cm | height: 49,1 in width: 38,4 in. Oil on canvas was applied by the European artist as the technique for the piece of art. The original artwork's inscription is the following: inscription and dated: ÆTAT SVÆ. 29 / Ao 1625. Besides, the work of art belongs to the art collection of Mauritshuis, which the Mauritshuis is home to the best artworks of Dutch painting of the seventeenth century. We are glad to reference that the masterpiece, which is in the public domain is provided with courtesy of Mauritshuis, The Hague. : Aletta van Loo, Olycan's widow, Haarlem, 1638-1653; by inheritance to the Van Sypesteyn family, Haarlem, 1877; Victor de Stuers, The Hague, 1880; sold by him to the Dutch government, 1881; placed in the Mauritshuis, 1881. What is more, the alignment of the digital reproduction is portrait with an image ratio of 3 : 4, which means that the length is 25% shorter than the width. Frans Hals was a male painter of Dutch nationality, whose style can primarily be classified as Baroque. The European painter lived for a total of 84 years - born in the year 1582 in Antwerp, Antwerpen province, Flanders, Belgium and deceased in the year 1666 in Haarlem, North Holland, Netherlands.
