This piece of art titled Charles de Cosse (1506-1563), Count of Brissac was created by Corneille de Lyon. The original had the following size - 6 1/2 x 5 1/2 in (16,5 x 14 cm); with added strips, 8 1/2 x 6 in (21,6 x 15,2 cm) and was painted with the technique of oil on wood. The artpiece belongs to the digital collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Besides this, the alignment is in portrait format with a side ratio of 1 : 1.2, which means that the length is 20% shorter than the width. Corneille de Lyon was a painter, whose style can primarily be classified as Mannerism. The painter was born in 1500 in The Hague and deceased at the age of 75 in 1575.
